Abstract

In this paper, a class of log-type estimator under simple random sampling has been suggested, to estimate the finite population mean by using single auxiliary variable under non-response. The proposed estimator, under non-response in different cases; on both the study and auxiliary variables has been studied and gives minimum mean square error as compared to all other considered estimators. Some other estimators are also identified from the proposed class of estimators. We used two real data sets to obtain the efficiencies of the estimators.
