Security Analysis in Wireless Networks

Wireless networks have become essential to our daily lives, providing connectivity for a wide range of devices. However, with the increasing use of wireless networks, security has become a major concern. Media Access Control (MAC) address flooding, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) spoofing, and rogue Secure Shell (SSH) are some of the most common security threats in wireless networks. These attacks can cause loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of network resources. In this study, vulnerabilities and challenges related to MAC address flooding, DHCP spoofing, and rogue SSH attacks were investigated. Analysis of the solution to prevent and mitigate these attacks was performed by simulation using the Cisco Packet Tracer. The system design will provide a user-friendly interface for network administrators to monitor their networks and check for anomalies. The result of the analysis showed that Port Security is the best fit to mitigate MAC address flooding, while DHCP snooping is the best option to mitigate DHCP spoofing, and Access Control List is the best option to mitigate rogue SSH.
