The blood flows through a tapered and overlapping stenosed artery was
examined under the influence of magnetic field and porosity. The equations
governing the blood flow were formulated and solved analytically. The Nusselt
number, resistance to flow, wall shear stress and streamline function were
resolved and the results were presented graphically. The result obtained
depicted that the viscosity of the blood flow depends on temperature. It was also
observed that the velocity of the blood dropped as the magnetic parameter
increasing in the velocity profile whereas in the temperature profile, the blood
temperature increased under the influence of magnetic parameter. The result
showed that the increase of blood temperature could be adversely affected the
artery.
